Colostrum high quality and quantity are known to be key for a successful passive transfer of immunity and, more broadly, for calves’ health during the neonatal phase. Several parameters can be measured during the colostrum production process such as the amount of colostrum produced, immunoglobulin content, bacterial load and colostrum fed.
