Fotografare il territorio: nuovi contributi della sociologia visuale

Abstract

In questo testo vengono presentate quattro ricerche empiriche (scelte nel panorama internazionale) che, utilizzando la fotografia, hanno avuto come oggetto l’analisi delle dinamiche in atto in comunità rurali a partire dalla loro cultura materiale, dalle pratiche sociali e dal paesaggio. Le riflessioni sui presupposti teorici, sulle metodologie e tecniche dell’immagine permettono di evidenziare come la sociologia visuale abbia raggiunto un’elaborazione adeguata agli obiettivi che si propone. La ricerca conclude che i modelli evidenziati possano essere generalizzati ed utilizzati per documentare ed analizzare visualmente le trasformazioni ambientali e culturali anche d’altre comunità rurali, mantenendo una coerenza e consapevolezza metodologica fino ad oggi spesso assente.
