Abstract

Il paper presenta i primi risultati di un’indagine esplorativa, volta ad indagare le pratiche di appropriazione spaziale messe in atto dai frequentatori delle vie dello shopping in un centro urbano del Nord Italia. L’ipotesi è che l’esperienza di visita possa essere riletta in termini narrativi. A tale scopo, è stata effettuata una rilevazione, basata sull’osservazione non partecipante, che ha interessato un campione di 244 casi. L’indagine ha consentito di delineare cinque profili di consumo, in ciascuno dei quali l’ambiente urbano appare rivestito di significati personali, coerenti con una differente strategia narrativa.
