Abstract

Alla vigilia dei 90 anni dalla pionieristica monografia di Raimondo Carta Raspi, il volume propone una raccolta di saggi su Mariano IV d’Arborea (1347-1375), tra le figure più significative della storia sarda. Come legislatore emanò il Codice rurale e la Carta de Logu, poi aggiornata dalla celebre figlia Eleonora; in veste di statista promosse una riorganizzazione del Giudicato e si relazionò con le grandi realtà politiche del suo tempo. Nel 1353 entrò in guerra contro la Corona d’Aragona per allargare la sua autorità su tutta l’isola. La presente opera – grazie a specialisti di diverse aree scientifiche – offre numerosi dati inediti e traccia nuovi quadri e prospettive di ricerca.
