L’“efficacia” del Liceo Matematico: evidenze dalle prove INVALSI

Abstract

Il progetto “Liceo Matematico” (LM) per le scuole secondarie superiori nasce nel 2015 e si diffonde rapidamente in tutta Italia. Il Liceo Matematico è caratterizzato dall'introduzione di almeno un'ora in più di matematica alla settimana, svolta in modalità laboratoriale e con costante attenzione a contenuti interdisciplinari. Lo scopo di questo articolo è analizzare i risultati delle prove INVALSI degli studenti iscritti alle sezioni LM e confrontarli con i risultati degli studenti iscritti alle stesse scuole ma nelle sezioni nonLM. I dati analizzati indicano che l'adesione al progetto LM ha un impatto positivo sul livello di apprendimento raggiunto sia in matematica sia in italiano.

The “Liceo Matematico” (LM) project for high schools established in 2015 and quickly spread throughout Italy. The Liceo Matematico is characterized by the introduction of at least one additional hour of mathematics per week, conducted in a laboratory setting and dealing with interdisciplinary aspects. The aim of this article is to analyze the results of the INVALSI tests of students enrolled in LM sections and compare them with the results of students enrolled in the same schools but in non-LM sections. The analyzed data indicate that joining the LM project has a positive impact on the level of learning achieved both in Mathematics and in Italian.
