Fare ricerca tra i giovani. Approcci e strumenti qualitativi

Abstract

Il focus del libro è l’analisi degli strumenti della ricerca qualitativa che in diversa maniera possono essere utili a leggere e studiare i mondi giovanili: il focus group, l’osservazione, l’in-tervista e il role playing. La struttura dei primi tre capitoli è andata orientandosi verso una descrizione tecnica di ciascun strumento collocata all’inter-no degli studi che avevano come oggetto i giovani; alla fine di ogni capitolo si presentano alcuni esempi di ricerche in cui sono stati utilizzati il focus, l’intervista e l’osservazione. La struttura dell’ultimo capitolo invece è molto più tecnica ed illustra in ma-niera specifica le caratteristiche del role playing e le modalità con cui si mette in pratica. La scelta di trattare il role playing, uno strumento che rara-mente compare nelle ricerche sui giovani è una scelta voluta; lo scopo è stato quello di dare centralità ad uno strumento che riteniamo particolarmente efficace per studiare i mondi giova-nili ma che è ancora poco utilizzato.
