The paper analyzes the main results of the 2021 Italian G20’s Presidency in light of the evolution of the G20’s key role in global governance. Starting from the Ministerial meetings (on the main topics: Health, Economy and Finance, Ecology and Climate and Energy), following with the Presidential, both analyzing the G20 extraordinary leaders’ meeting on Afghanistan (October 12th, 2021) and the Rome Summit (October 30-31st, 2021), the article makes some remarks on different issues (from multilateralism to global legal standards), concluding on the future of G20.
