Usi verbali dell'italiano: le frasi anticausative

Abstract

Molti fenomeni sintattici dell’italiano sono ancora privi di una sistemazione teorica definitiva. L'alternanza causativa, di cui tratta questo volume, è fenomeno ampiamente dibattuto sia a livello intralinguistico che cross-linguistico, ma non ha avuto ancora una definizione che raccogliesse il consenso della comunità dei linguisti. Questo volume presenta una classificazione esaustiva e l'analisi descrittiva degli usi causativi/anticausativi in italiano, sia dei verbi concreti (Gianni ha rotto il vaso/Il vaso si è rotto) che dei verbi psicologici (Quella notizia ha spaventato Gianni/Gianni si è spaventato). L'analisi quantitativa dei dati getta nuova luce sulla correlazione tra regolarità e idiosincrasia dei pattern morfo-sintattici, sugli aspetti morfologico-derivazionali, e sulle proprietà aspettuali degli usi verbali esaminati. Questo libro rappresenta un importante passo avanti verso la comprensione del fenomeno.
