Abstract

In questo lavoro sono mostrati i risultati preliminari di una campagna sperimentale condotta al fine di mettere a punto un sistema di confinamento “attivo” da adoperare in caso di interventi di rinforzo e/o adeguamento sismico di elementi pressoinflessi in c.a.. La metodologia proposta, utilizzando le proprietà espansive di resine o malte di cemento additivate, colate nell’intercapedine tra l’elemento strutturale da rinforzare ed un tubo forma, consente di applicare uno stato di coazione trasversale sugli elementi in c.a. che risulta indipendente dai carichi gravanti sulla struttura. Tale stato di coazione consente di migliorare le caratteristiche meccaniche del calcestruzzo e quindi incrementare le performance, in termini di resistenza e duttilità, dell’elemento strutturale confinato. La prima parte del lavoro è dedicata ad un’analisi comparativa del comportamento di un calcestruzzo confinato in modo attivo o passivo, e si discutono i vantaggi ottenuti nel caso di sezioni confinate attivamente. Si presentano, infine, i risultati sperimentali preliminari di prove condotte su provini cilindrici confinati adoperando differenti agenti espansivi.
