Il saggio passa in rassegna l’articolazione genetica e lo sviluppo della nozione – di per sé piuttosto ampia – di biopolitica, cercando di precisarne il senso semantico e la portata scientifica. In maniera estremamente sintetica si passano pertanto in rassegna dapprima le formulazioni “fondative” di Arendt e di Foucault, per poi soffermarsi sulle peculiari elaborazioni della biopolitica realizzate nel contemporaneo da autori come Agamben, Negri, Esposito, Bazzicalupo, Haraway, Latour.
