Abstract

L’articolo si propone di fornire una panoramica della collaborazione tra la Biblioteca nazionale centrale di Firenze (BNCF) e Wikimedia Italia con particolare riguardo al progetto di interoperabilità semantica e tecnica tra il Thesaurus del Nuovo soggettario e Wikidata. Dall’analisi dei due strumenti, diversi per natura, struttura e contesto emergono criticità dovute a un disallineamento semantico che ha portato a una revisione (tuttora in corso) in entrambi i database di significanti e significati. Differenti approcci nella costruzione delle due basi dati hanno portato a un confronto e a una crescita non solo degli strumenti ma anche delle professionalità di coloro che operano per il loro sviluppo e implementazione. Tali benefici gettano le basi per proseguire la sperimentazione e allargare il gruppo di lavoro.
