The special issue refers to the following topics:-milk composition as a tool to perform correctly the feeding requirement of dairy sheep;-a critical review of main systems for the evaluation of nutritive requirements and a proposal of new approaches;-review of main aspects affecting feed intake in sheep;-an examination of the lipid nutrition and of the problem of the fiber;-mineral and vitamin nutrition.
