Abstract

COLLANA QUADERNI DI PROTESI, DescrizioneQuesto quaderno fornisce all’odontoiatra e all’odontotecnico alcune nozioni basilari per la corretta progettazione ed esecuzione della protesi parziale rimovibile in titanio. La monografia descrive la natura e la peculiarità del titanio ed evidenzia i vantaggi operativi, ma anche i limiti del materiale stesso. Vengono poi prese in considerazione le indicazioni alla protesi parziale rimovibile in titanio ancorata ad elementi naturali e ad impianti osteointegrati. La sezione centrale del testo identifica le procedure operative per la realizzazione di protesi in titanio. Particolare attenzione è stata dedicata alle fasi di laboratorio al fine di coinvolgere attivamente l’odontotecnico sia in fase di progettazione che di esecuzione del manufatto. Obiettivo di questo lavoro è quello di stilare un protocollo operativo standardizzato mirato a semplificare in senso pratico l’esecuzione degli scheletrati in titanio, partendo da una diagnosi corretta fino ad una esecuzione mirata al rispetto dei tessuti del cavo orale, al fine di raggiungere consensualmente gli scopi di tutte le riabilitazioni protesiche: funzione, estetica e successo clinico longitudinale.ContenutiCaratteristiche del titanioVantaggi e svantaggi del titanio in protesi rimovibileProspettive futureIndicazioni alla protesi parziale rimovibile in titanioProcedure operativeCasi clinici
