Abstract

A cento anni dalla nascita (1923), don Lorenzo Milani è ancora un interlocutore attuale, lodato, amato, ma anche criticato e incastrato in slogan che ne impoveriscono il portato. Adele Corradi, che l’ha conosciuto e con lui ha collaborato, ha voluto riaccostarsi alla sua figura attraverso le pagine dell’epistolario privato, selezionando, insieme a José Luis Corzo e Federico Ruozzi, 200 lettere tra le oltre mille conosciute, ritenute più incisive, per stile e tematiche. Una corrispondenza privata che è un patrimonio di fede, ma anche di cultura e di scrittura, che non ha niente da invidiare ai grandi scrittori del Novecento italiano anche per la capacità di toccare i nervi scoperti della società, della chiesa, del mondo della scuola di quegli anni con analisi e domande che ancora oggi, per certi versi, attendono di ricevere risposte adeguate.
