Abstract

Deze studie gaat over de economische consequenties van begrotingstekorten van de overheid. Men name wordt de invloed onderzocht van de creatie en existentie van overheidsschuld op de particuliere bestedingen, het geldaanbod en de interestvoet. Daartoe is eerst het bestaande theoretische en empirische onderzoek in kaart gebracht. Vervolgens zijn verschillende theorieën getoetst, gebruik makend van data voor Nederland en/of andere landen.
