Tourism cannot be observed only as an industry, but rather as a composite activity which is shaped by and affects almost every social field (Beaver 2005). Just like any other field, tourism is rendered through language, but language is especially significant in the field of tourism; an element of supranational, national, or local reality is only valued as a tourist attraction when it is recognized as such in communication with a potential tourist. Therefore, the aims of our research of tourism communication have been to define the areas relevant for the Slovenian tourism and to define terms of the Slovenian tourism discourse. In this chapter we are going to indicate the importance of the corpus of tourism texts TURK and the tourism e-dictionary TURS for analysing the art and cultural heritage as an important part of tourism products.
