Abstract

La ricerca presentata è reltiva all'analisi geometrica e alla ricostruzione digitale del Padiglione Philips di Le Corbusier del realizzato nel 1958 in occasione dell'Expo di Bruxelles e poi distrutto. Sono state indagate tutte le morfologie relative alle singole parti dell'edificio, soprattutto ricostruendone generatrici e direttici geometriche, che hanno permesso di comprendere molto bene l'insieme di paraboloidi iperbolici che determinano la costruzione. Strumenti di visualizzazione avanzata hanno portato a simulare in maniera verosimile tutte le singole unità, in modo da poter percepire il modello come se si trattasse di una fotografia dell'esistente.
