Indicadors de salut perinatal a Catalunya lʼany 2012

Abstract

In 2012 the number of births in Catalonia was of 77,548 newborns. 29.6% of the mothers residents in Catalonia who give birth has foreign nationality and 33.4% are older than 34 years. 4.8% of the childbirths are multiple and 28.4% are born by caesarian section. The prevalence of tobacco addiction in the first period of pregnancy stands in 23.1% while in the end it is of 12%. 7.3% of the newborns are prematures and 7.7% are born with low weight. 83.4% of the newborns that born in 2012 fed through maternal lactation in the moment of being born.
