Factors de risc cardiogènics, cardiotòxics i cardioprotectors a les organitzacions

Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases in general and coronary heart disease in particular (both in the form of angina and heart attack) have a set of well-identified risk factors. People with these risk factors also have a higher chance of developing the disease. Furthermore, it is important to know that if risk factors can be eliminated or controlled, this probability can be reduced to levels similar to those of the general population. Our medical culture, until now, is more focused on curing diseases than preventing them. For this reason, we know in greater depth the risk factors that accompany it, because we study those that people who have suffered from it have. In fact, the multicausality of heart disease and the focus on individual and family risk factors have meant that environmental and occupational risk factors have been assessed less specifically. However, there is sufficient evidence to show that, increasingly, current living and working conditions negatively affect and more protective behaviors are pursued. On the other hand, within the workplace we are interested in assessing what can cause illnesses, although, preferably, we want to know what prevents us from suffering from them or how we can achieve optimal working conditions and habits that protect us when we have experienced them. For all these reasons, in this community of practice (CoP) we will talk about cardiogenic, cardiotoxic and cardioprotective factors.
