La Grieta Narraciones de una tertulia

Abstract

Based on an exercise of narrative craftsmanship –a verbal, graphic and audiovisual one–, this work inquires poetically into the ways in which the members of a gathering circle of Bogota named La Grieta [The Crack] have fostered bonds between them thanks to the word, the game, the libation and the making of objects, four shared practices that have reaffirmed its structure as community and built its history for more than a decade. Through them, its members have created an existential alternative to capitalism and its wars. The work postulates inquiring creation as a methodological option for the field of Artistic Studies, founded on the trades of daily life in community. This proposal enables the simultaneous production of knowledge and sensitive experience, and is grounded in reflections that help to endure personal and collective wars of the national history, in the battle of world and counter-world.
