Abstract

The phenomenon of violence has survived for decades in the history of Colombia, its memory lies in the rivers, roads and voices of those who have experienced it. This research recovers the word of children who inhabit rurality and exposes their definitions and meanings in the face of violence. To understand them, the research is framed in the qualitative method, carrying out the analysis of reports of children between 7 and 13 years of age from the Puerto Arango village located in the department of Caquetá. Through this inquiry, an understanding of the links that are woven between violence, rurality, and childhood in narrative forms is achieved and how these are part of the construction of meaning of the violent and the violated through the configuration of power relations.
