Abstract

En términos institucionales, una grave limitación afecta la formación filosófica actual. Se origina, sospecho, en la creencia consolidada de que se puede y debe dominar la esencia última del pensamiento a partir de una visión historiográfica lineal que asocia, invariablemente, grandes nombres propios con sintagmas característicos que habrían incidido, de una vez y para siempre, en la historia del pensamiento tomado como un todo. Nada más alejado de esa estrechez de miras se encuentra el pensamiento vivo. De Marx a Foucault se ha buscado situar el pensamiento a partir de prácticas concretas, donde los grandes nombres propios resultaban más bien secundarios, cuando no prescindibles. Hasta Badiou, que es uno de los más vitales reivindicadores de la filosofía como pensamiento activo de la época, sólo vuele a discutir proposiciones de Heidegger, Hegel, Descartes o Platón luego de haber efectuado operaciones clave sobre los dispositivos y prácticas actuales: ontología, matemática, política, psicoanálisis, arte, etc. Se trata de circunscribir la falta del Otro (texto, tradición, cultura, mundo, etc.) en tanto éste no es en sí mismo autoconsistente, pues se encuentra barrado: o bien incompleto o bien inconsistente. Sólo en ese juego serio, en la disyunción irreductible, se abre la posibilidad de invención que lo rebasa. Esta es la apuesta del presente texto.
