Abstract

The objective of the text is to analyze comparatively the discursive formations elaborated by La Nación and Página 12 about Kirchnerism in terms of: A) State policies, B) the characteristics of their leadership and C) the motivations to mobilize their supportive environments. The sources used are, on one hand, bibliography and scientific articles on politics, media and speech construction. And on the other hand, the editorials, political section and opinion notes of both newspapers between 2003 and 2015. The exploration has based on a diagnosis: the media action repertoires have reinforced a binary confrontation that challenges pluralism and the quality of our democracy, achieving to install a kind of cognitive bias about validity of the adversary's arguments. The hypothesis proposes that the newspapers Página 12 and La Nación, as intellectual diffusers of historically constituted political and ideological fields, erect an antagonistic frontier between two opposing but complementary identities, which are periodically revitalized in the electoral competition.
