Abstract

En este artículo se abordan los modos de gestión política puestos en práctica por dirigentes de un club social y deportivo de la ciudad de La Plata, donde cobran un lugar fundamental como estrategias de construcción política la modernización de tradiciones del club, y la politización de emociones enraizadas en las prácticas deportivas. Al mismo tiempo se dará cuenta de la productividad política de las prácticas deportivas y sociables a partir de la descripción y análisis de reuniones y eventos sociales, instancias en las cuales se despliega la política en el Club Universitario de La Plata, un tradicional club social y deportivo vinculado a los sectores medios de la ciudad de La Plata. Allí los socios, deportistas y empleados del club construyen y disputan sentidos en torno a la política, gestionan el club, trabajan para la institución y consiguen recursos.A partir del trabajo etnográfico en el club, se mostrará el modo en que en torno a la sociabilidad y el deporte, un sector social con cierta gravitación en la política y en la vida social local crean definiciones acerca de la política y valores morales deseables no sólo para la institución, sino también para la sociedad de la cual forman parte.

This article analyzes the ways of political management that the sport leaders and politicians of a social and sports club in the city of La Plata, where the modernization of club traditions and the politicization of emotions have a fundamental place as strategies of political construction, rooted in sports practices. At the same time, the political productivity of sports and social practices will be explained through the description and analysis of meetings and social events, instances in which the policy is deployed in the University Club of La Plata, a traditional social club and sport linked to the middle sectors of the city of La Plata. There the members, athletes and employees of the club build and dispute senses around politics, manage the club, work for the institution and get resources. Starting from the ethnographic work in the club, the way in which around sociability and sport, a social sector with some gravitation in politics and in local social life create definitions about politics and desirable moral values will be shown.
