Abstract

In the context of change towards policies based on evidence and the new public management oriented to results, the overall growth of the evaluation and in particular the increase of associations, societies and networks of evaluation on all the continents, has been both a impressive phenomenon as well as one of the most significant changes in the development of evaluative discipline. This article presents the expansion and role of the transnational evaluation networks, which have been consolidated as a major actor in order to address evaluation capacities at different levels.
