Un estudio de Ezequiel Ipar y Gisela Catanzaro muestra que existe una estructura de posiciones ideológicas que mantiene un rechazo masivo e intenso frente a diferentes grupos sociales: los pobres, los que reciben asistencia del Estado, los inmigrantes, las trans. Sobre ese sedimento de prejuicios pueden leerse rasgos típicos de un autoritarismo social que permiten redefinir lo que hoy llamamos “polarización política”.
