Abstract

The right to rural land in Argentina has been erected from various forms of activism field populations, and has also differentiated state responses. While we can trace the origins of this claim in the mobilizations of farmers in the Grito de Alcorta, we propose in this paper to account for the continuities and ruptures around the construction of access to land as an entitlement, from the Agrarian Leagues to today the peasant movements. At the same time we will complete the analysis of the conflicting field from political mediations State that have operated as historical context in each case, regarding the different responses at the level of regulation and emancipation tension, even attentive to repressive device of the state.
