Since 1945 we identified a new kind of expert: the international official. The creation of the UN and its subsidiary organizations promoted employment and training of such experts. This article explores the sub-field of political science in Chile from its contribution to the training of “development experts”. This will be done after the identification of the capital contributed by a particular agent that, given the internalization of his career, worked as a catalyst for the field.
