Sloanea lasiocoma (Elaeocarpaceae) is recorded for the first time for the Argentinean flora in the province of Misiones, and it is the first record of Eleocarpaceae in northeastern Argentina. The species is described and illustrated and ecological observations are given. A key to distinguish Sloanea from the other three genera of Elaeocarpaceae present in Argentina is included
Sloanea lasiocoma (Elaeocarpaceae) se cita por primera vez para la flora argentina en la provincia de Misiones y es el primer registro de eleocarpáceas en el nordeste Argentino. Se describe e ilustra la especie y se brindan observaciones ecológicas. Se incluye una clave para distinguir a Sloanea de los otros tres géneros de la familia Elaeocarpaceae presentes en la Argentina.
