El presente trabajo procura identificar y analizar los frames noticiosos que prevalecieron en el tratamiento que la prensa gráfica argentina especializada en economía y finanzas hizo del proceso de debate y sanción de la Ley N°26.522 de Servicios de Comunicación Audiovisual, entre marzo y octubre de 2009. El enfoque conceptual combina herramientas del Framing y de los estudios de Políticas de Comunicación. Se lleva a cabo un análisis de contenido cuantitativo de las 350 notas que fueron publicadas sobre el caso en los periódicos Ámbito Financiero y El Cronista Comercial. Del trabajo empírico surge que fueron tres los encuadres que predominaron. Se los denomina “Disputa político-institucional”, “Interés público sociocultural” e “Interés público económico empresarial”
This paper seeks to identify and analyze the news frames that prevailed in the coverage that two Argentine newspapers specialized in economic and financial issues made of the debate and passing of Law N° 26,522 on Audiovisual Communication Services, between March and October 2009. The conceptual approach combines tools from Framing and Communication Policy studies. A quantitative content analysis of the 350 pieces of news that were published on the case in Ámbito Financiero and El Cronista Comercial is made. As a result of the empirical work, it emerges that there were three predominant frames. They are called “Political-institutional dispute”, “Sociocultural Public Interest” and “Financial-Economic Public Interest”.
