La siguiente propuesta tiene por objeto problematizar el rol del investigador social a partir de una reflexión sobre mi trabajo de campo con comunidades y organizaciones mapuche, llevado a cabo entre los años 2007 y 2010 en las provincias de Río Negro y Chubut (Argentina), en el marco de la investigación realizada para mi tesis doctoral. Para ello propongo tomar en consideración los elementos centrales que plantea la perspectiva de los estudios decoloniales como marco epistemológico que me permita problematizar la idea del locus de enunciación de la ciencia y los saberes en general, vinculándolo con el rol del científico social y su relación con el objeto de estudio. Me interesa pensar los dilemas del espacio y tiempo en el encuentro entre la visión cientificista occidental del investigador y la visión nativa. Al mismo tiempo, en el marco de los estudios decoloniales, me resulta sugestivo pensar la experiencia etnográfica como forma de abordaje del hecho social que prioriza la construcción conjunta de conocimiento entre el investigador y quienes devienen su objeto de estudio. Se priorizará una mirada reflexiva de la práctica de investigación que problematice aspectos tales como la influencia de la situación de “encuentro con el otro” en el investigador y los aspectos sensibles de la relación social que se plantea con los sujetos entrevistados u observados.

The following article aims to problematize the role of the social researcher from a reflection on my fieldwork with Mapuche communities and organizations, carried out between 2007 and 2010 in the provinces of Rio Negro and Chubut (Argentina), in the context of the research for my doctoral thesis. To this end I propose to consider the main elements raising the prospect of decolonial studies as epistemological framework that allows me to problematize the idea of locus of enunciation of science and knowledge in general, linking the role of social science and its relationship with the object of study. I think the dilemmas are interested in space and time in the encounter between Western scientistic vision researcher and native vision. At the same time, within the context of the decolonial studies, it is suggestive to think about ethnographic experience as a way to approach the social fact that prioritizes the joint construction of knowledge between researchers and those who become the object of study. For this reason I keep a reflective look problematice research practice aspects such as the influence of the situation of encounter with the other in the research and sensitive aspects of social relationship that arises with subjects interviewed or observed.
