Abstract

Los organismos, y en particular los hongos, tienen un papel importante frente a los grandes retos globales que este desarrollo propone. Constituyen fuentes de alimento y antibióticos e instrumentos para mejorar la eficiencia de diferentes procesos industriales. Son sustitutos renovables para los productos de los recursos fósiles, agentes de biodegradación de residuos, de promoción y protección de cultivos agrícolas, y organismos hospedadores para la producción de nuevos fármacos biológicos.En este escenario, y a partir de las líneas de investigación aplicables que viene desarrollando el Área de Protección Forestal del CIEFAP se generó, dentro del Proyecto estratégico de Productos Forestales No Madereros, un módulo en el que se trata a los hongos como recurso multiproducto. El mismo se encuentra orientado a la demanda regional
