En este artículo establecemos un diálogo entre un conjunto de textos de autores procedentes del ordoliberalismo y otra serie de textos de los autores más representativos de la Escuela de Frankfurt, cuyo eje es el diagnóstico crítico de la sociedad de masas, que ambas perspectivas esbozan. El artículo destaca los diferentes problemas conectados con la discusión sobre las masas, enfatizando el funcionamiento de preocupaciones comunes a ambos enfoques. Procura efectuar una contribución a la historia de los modos en que se ha problematizado la cuestión de las masas en la teoría sociológica y en la teoría social.
In this article, the author establishes a dialogue between a series of texts by writers from the ordoliberal current and another series of texts by the more representative thinkers of the Frankfurt School, whose central axis is the critical analysis of mass society, which both perspectives sketch. The article underlines the different problems connected to the discussion about the masses, emphasizing the functioning of the concerns common to the two approaches. It is a contribution to the history of how the issue of the masses has been thought about in sociological and social theory.
