La quinua en el Noroeste Argentino

Abstract

Investigaciones relativamente recientes, en las que participaron los autores del artículo, presentaron a varios ecosistemas andinos y periandinos del noroeste argentino como centros de diversificación de la quinua (Chenopodium quinoa), un pseudocereal nativo de los Andes que está atrayendo creciente atención en Europa y Norteamérica. En este artículo se muestra cómo distintas variedades de una planta cultivada difieren entre ellas por haber adquirido rasgos que las hacen apropiadas para su siembra en ecosistemas disímiles.
