Transformaciones socio demográficas en el grupo de inmigrantes bolivianos del rururbano santafesino

Abstract

El sistema rururbano de la ciudad de Santa Fe, capital de la provincia homónima argentina, asociado a la actividad hortícola comprende los distritos de Santa Fe, Monte Vera y Recreo. En él se observan cambios en los usos del suelo, de vocación tradicionalmente hortícola hacia otros cultivos como la soja, actividades como la avicultura, acopio de cereales o bien la introducción de las funciones residencial de baja densidad, comercial y de servicios. A través del análisis estadístico de datos provistos por el IPEC, la interpretación de fuentes indirectas variadas y de información recabada en el trabajo de campo, se identifican transformaciones socio demográficas en el grupo de inmigrantes bolivianos asentados desde mediados de los 60 del siglo pasado, dedicados a la horticultura. Gracias a la implementación de un nuevo sistema económico en las quintas, este productor pudo incrementar sus ingresos y alcanzar mejoras en la calidad de vida.
