Abstract

El manejo de la biodiversidad en fronteras binacionales requiere interacción cooperativa, como en el caso de la Cuenca del Río Bermejo, entre Bolivia y Argentina. El objetivo fue realizar un relevamiento de la biota en la subcuenca del Río Grande de Tarija y del Río Seco, durante la estación seca. El muestreo fue en 2005, en sectores de Selva de Transición, siguiendo una transecta de 100 km entre las localidades de Madrejones y Ramos. Se registraron 356 taxones: invertebrados e insectos acuáticos (106), nemátodos zooparásitos (6), peces (28), anfibios y reptiles (7), aves (118), mamíferos (5) y plantas vasculares (92).En comparación con otras áreas, Madrejones se encontró mejor conservada y registró mayor riqueza en todos los grupos que las otras áreas. Se aportan nuevas localidades al área de distribución de 12 taxones de peces. Los Characiformes predominaron sobre los Siluriformes. Entre nemátodos hubo nuevas localidades de captura, nuevos registros de hospedadores y nuevas especies. La avifauna estuvo representada por más especies chaqueñas que yungueñas. Los resultados sobre los invertebrados son similares a estudios previos. Este inventario constituye la primera etapa necesaria para implementar sistemas de monitoreo y protección ambiental en el área, para su manejo sustentable. Recomendamos en la zona de Madrejones la creación de reservas de usos múltiples
