Competencia y rivalidad argentino-brasileña en el Paraguay tras la Guerra de la Triple Alianza

Abstract

Este artículo tiene por objetivo analizar la competencia política, económica y diplomática entre la Argentina y Brasil en el Paraguay desde el final de la Guerra de la Triple Alianza (1865-1870) hasta principios del siglo XX, la cual constituyó un nuevo capítulo en la historia de rivalidad y desconfianza entre ambas naciones sudamericanas por ganar influencia regional, inmediatamente después de la aproximación circunstancial experimentada durante el mencionado conflicto bélico. Para ello se ha indagado exhaustivamente en bibliografía procedente de autores tanto argentinos como brasileños y, también anglosajones, obteniendo así diferentes miradas sobre un mismo proceso.
