Abstract

We intend to show, in anthropological key and a qualitative perspective, that persons detained in a prison whose status is that of a tight, vertical and closed to influences from outside with its own codes, has invisible and private spaces that allow them imagine or foreshadow how will be their return to free society after serving their sentence, usually as conditional release. Through case studies, one of which is presented here, we try to give substance to this "ideal world" with their own narratives of the interviewees. At the same time, we try to show that the imagined world for the future is presented as the positive of what they are living in prisons but that once released cannot be met. It is discuss some of the consequences.
