Abstract

The present article discusses a central question: How does gender affect the relationship between social class and the practice of leisure activities? According to the main results, it can be said that social class affects different leisure activities particularly in longer holiday periods, higher Internet consumption and increased cinema attendance. Middle class women practice fewer leisure activities and working class women even fewer due to the demand of their presence and care at their homes. In the case of male workers whose households require a lot of care, they also perform fewer leisure activities than those from other classes.
