Abstract

The aim of this paper is to detect endogamy-inbred practices in Calingasta department of the province of San Juan and related them to pathologies with genetic charge. Dates come from official health institutions, marriages Government Registry, the Special Education School, interviews to selected informants and standardized ones to selected families. Tables, contingency tables were constructed and “geo-processing-Kerner ID” function of ArcGIS software was used to obtain density areas. Important results are typification and quantification of consanguineous, marriages, a record of the conditions and inbreeding and spatial representation.
