This article attempts to develop the thinking of Cohen on messianism, showing the meeting between religion and practical philosophy from a peculiar look, which is then inherited by authors such as Rosenzweig and Levinas. Judaism as the Religion of Reason and, therefore, as the source of morality. In our view, Cohen made a Jewish reading of Kantian ethics. Towards the end, we will try to make a criticism of the purely ethical (and non-political) thought of Cohen.
