El artículo analiza la dinámica intrapartidaria de radicales y conservadores tucumanos entre 1940 y 1943, contexto definido por la historiografía a partir de una crisis de las organizaciones partidarias que culminó en el golpe de Estado y la irrupción del peronismo. Por otro lado, indaga sobre su relación con los poderes nacionales, teniendo en cuenta la rearticulación de los liderazgos que se desarrolló a partir de 1940 en el Poder Ejecutivo Nacional y al interior de ambos partidos. Sostiene que el derrotero de ambos actores estuvo signado por la tensión permanente entre la fragmentación y la búsqueda de unidad, disyuntiva que los llevó a unirse en torno a líderes históricos en los comicios de octubre de 1942. Por el contrario, frente a las conducciones nacionales de sendos ordenamientos partidarios y el Poder Ejecutivo Nacional, conservadores y radicales adoptaron caminos divergentes, decidiendo los primeros apoyarse en las autoridades centrales y los segundos distanciarse de las directivas nacionales.

The article analyzes the intraparty dynamics of radicals and conservatives of Tucuman between 1940 and 1943, context that the historiography defined as a crisis of party organizations that culminated in the coup d´etat and the emergence of Peronism. On the other hand, investigates their relationship with the national powers, taking into account the reformulation of the leadership that was developed from 1940 in the National Executive and within both parties. It argues that the course of both actors was marked by the continuing tension between fragmentation and the search for unity, dilemma that brought them together around historical leaders in the elections of October 1942. By contrast, facing the national leaders of both parties and the Federal Executive Branch conservatives and radicals adopted divergent paths, deciding the first to rely on central authorities and the second to distance themselves from national guidelines.
