Modos de hacer política en la escuela secundaria

Abstract

En la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, en los últimos meses de 2010, las imágenes de jóvenes estudiantes participando activamente en el espacio público reclamando mejoras edilicias en sus escuelas catapultaron al primer plano de las noticias la difusión de estos hechos. Episodios similares ocurrieron en Córdoba, con amplia repercusión en los medios de prensa y, de manera menos visible, en Neuquén y Santa Cruz. Un par de años después, en 2012 sucedieron nuevas tomas de escuelas en la capital del país. Las “tomas” de 2010 y 2012, así como las movilizaciones que se sucedieron particularmente en ese último año, contrastaba con la supuesta “apatía” de la juventud, motivaron iguales dosis de apoyos y de críticas aunque poca reflexión que intentase desentrañar las características que asume la relación juventud(es) – política– escuela secundaria en el mundo contemporáneo. La sorpresa implicó el extrañamiento ante el sujeto juvenil, razón por la cual las posturas ante el fenómeno se organizaron, de manera esquemática, en dos tipos de discursos. De este modo, se saludó el carácter transgresor y rebelde de jóvenes “inherentemente” transformadores de la realidad, o se los calificó de “vagos” que harían mejor en interesarse sólo por estudiar sin plantear reclamos “políticos”.
