Maquiavelo y los matarreyes

Abstract

Este capítulo ofrece un contrapunto entre la teoría política de Maquiavelo y la doctrina monarcómaca contenida en las Vindiciae contra tyrannos. En este marco, se justiprecia el vínculo entre el príncipe, los grandes y el pueblo. Esto permite ofrecer una evaluación del populismo de Maquiavelo, a partir de su contraste con el republicanismo estamental de los monarcómacos.
