Abstract

La familia Poaceae Barnhart (Graminea) cuenta con plantas herbáceas, o muy raramente leñosas, con más de 670 géneros y cerca de 10.000 especies. Se encuentra entre las familias de Angiospermas con mayor riqueza de especies, pero definitivamente, es la primera en importancia económica global. Es una familia cosmopolita, que ha conquistado la mayoría de los nichos ecológicos del planeta, desde las zonas desérticas hasta los ecosistemas de agua salada, y desde las zonas deprimidas y anegadizas hasta los sistemas montañosos más altos. En el Cono Sur, la Familia Poaceae está representada por 203 géneros y alrededor de 1528 especies, con 540 especies endémicas y 184 especies introducidas (Zuloaga et al., 1994). En el NE argentino se encuentran representantes de 9 subfamilias y 19 tribus, con un total de 363 especies. En esta presentación se estudia el polen de 34 géneros y 74 especies, repartidas en 5 subfamilias y 6 tribus, (Subfamilia: Bambusoideae Luerss.; Tribu: Olyreae, Subfamilia: Chloridoideae Beilschm.; Tribu: Cynodonteae, Eragrostidae, Subfamilia: Ehrhartoideae Link; Tribu: Oryzeae, Subfamilia: Panicoideae Link; Tribu: Andropogoneae, Subfamilia: Pooideae Bentham; Tribu: Bromeae).
