El reciclado rurbano: apuntes latinoamericanos

Abstract

What is the work of recyclers who use carts and horses to make a living? What do the cart drivers who daily tour the cities to look for what others throw away testify? To answer these questions, we start with a brief overview of the concept of rurbanity, which allows us to understand the urban-rural intersection that drives blood traction in cities. From research experiences in Argentina and Brazil together with the protagonists, we reconstruct a characterization that challenges modern urban understandings.
