Abstract

El libro cuenta la historia de dos adolescentes que paseando por el bosque se encuentran con personal de INTA trabajando con los árboles. Los técnicos les cuentan acerca del porqué es importante estudiar los árboles y acerca del Proyecto Nacional de Domesticación de especies forestales nativas. A partir de esa conversación, los chicos comienzan a comprender la importancia de estos estudios y algunos conceptos como el de manejo sustentable, conservación, restauración, y cómo se trabaja en un laboratorio de genética o en un vivero forestal. Finalmente el entusiasmo de los chicos se traslada a la profesora de Ciencias Naturalesy compañeros de la escuela, con quienes debaten estos temas y prometen visitar las instalaciones del INTA.
