Abstract

En algún momento de los años ‘60 Juan Laurentino Ortiz emprendió la tarea de escribir la historia del río Gualeguay. Tarea difícil, cuando no imposible, no solo por la magnitud del problema con el que se enfrentaba –que hace pensar que si el poema, a pesar de sus 2639 versos, es un fragmento inconcluso, lo es sobre todo por lo interminable de la tarea– sino porque en principio la idea misma de escribir la historia del río supone una imposibilidad de base, o varias...
