El paleoambiente en época histórica en la provincia de Tucumán

Abstract

La recreación de los contextos ambientales en los que sedesarrollaron los grupos humanos en el pasado proporciona el marco dereferencia necesario para situar las interpretaciones arqueológicas ehistóricas y articularlas en sus aspectos económicos, productivos,sociales y simbólicos. De esta manera, los cambios operados en elmedio físico y biológico requieren de estrategias de adaptaciónconstante por parte de los individuos y pueden potenciar procesos detransformación al interior de las sociedades. Por ello, este capítulo tienecomo objetivo principal presentar una síntesis de los diferentes cambioso continuidades ambientales detectadas en los últimos diez siglos(coincidentes, en parte, con los momentos de contacto hispanoindígena, colonial, histórico y actuales) en gran parte del actualterritorio tucumano, para poder comprender algunos de los procesosque confluyeron en la construcción de los paisajes sociales yeconómicos para que se presentan en este libro.
