Derecho a la vida independiente: fundamentos y desafíos hacia la vida en comunidad

Abstract

En el presente capítulo nos proponemos abordar el derecho a la vida independiente en personas con discapacidad desde una doble perspectiva.Por un lado, explicaremos la filosofía de vida independiente, las principales problematizaciones en las que avanza y su relación con el movimiento social de personas con discapacidad. Por otro lado, haremos un esfuerzo por presentar algunos desafíos pendientes en la Argentina para efectivizar el derecho a la vida independiente reconocido en la Convención sobre los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad.
